With Apple’s discontinuation, it has become increasingly difficult to make new releases of Backblaze available to Mac OS X 10.4 customers due to lack of support by Apple and as a 10.4 user, you’re missing out on many current features of Backblaze 2.0 and all future releases. Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger was discontinued by Apple in 2007, and the last security update provided by Apple was in 2009. We will happily send you a free copy of Mac OS X 10.6 on a DVD which you can install on your Mac and continue being a Backblaze customer. Alternatively, you can contact Backblaze support and we will coordinate with you to get you upgraded-for free. You can do this by calling the Apple Online Store at 1-800-MY-APPLE and ordering a copy of Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard or any subsequent operating systems. The best way to continue using Backblaze is to update to Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, or a newer operating system. Don’t worry though we won’t let you go that easy.īackblaze is committed to providing unlimited online backup to all of our customers, including those using Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger. As of February 1, 2013, Backblaze will no longer run on Mac computers running OSX 10.4 Tiger. Backblaze has made the tough decision to stop supporting Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger.
